F.A.Q

It's not as complicated as it might look, trust us!

Uploader - where you upload photos.

Templates - where your created templates ready for print are kept.

Market - stuff for your in-person market stall: QR code for customers, branding etc.

Add or upload photos. They go into your photo tray at the bottom (like a shopping cart). Hit 'Create Template' and they'll be laid out on a print-ready template automatically.

There are loads of other features but that's the basic idea - just play with it, you won't break anything (but please don't try to!).

In the Market section you can upload your own logo. Your guests will see your logo at the top of the page instead of simple text that says '*your username*'s Stall' when they use the photo uploader. Give it a try!

For your magnet branding - you can add text that gets printed on your templates/magnets. By editing or creating product templates, you can add edge text in multiple positions on the reverse of a magnet. Default text that appears on some Magtool default templates be changed at any time in your profile settings.

If you have your own template(s) that you know works perfectly for you and your press, whether in Canva or other software, you can add that to use in the magtool app.

On your main uploader dashboard, simply click the 'Create Size' option and this will open the Template Builer allowing you to either create a magnet template manually by measurements (which is the recommended method), or you can upload an existing A4 or Letter template sheet and trace it for use. You can edit or delete your custom templates as you wish.

In the Market tab, there is a 'Storefront Products' section where your active magnet products (shown on your uploader dashboard) live. You can also add non-magnet custom products there, which your customers can add to cart and purchase without needing to upload any image or process any printable sheet.

To do so, click the 'Add Custom Product' button and fill out the details for that product. Toggle it on, and it will be available in your storefront for customers to purchase.

When on the uploader tab or guest screen, a simple toggle allows you to switch between a photo upload and the pre-made gallery.

Organising and uploading: Click the Gallery tab, and you'll be in your gallery dashboard. From there, you can toggle how images are available for guests and upload your own.

If you upload your own images into your personal gallery, you are responsible for making sure you own them or have permission to use them commercially and legally. That includes logos, quotes, artwork, and customer-supplied images.

If you are ever unsure, do not upload it until you have checked you are allowed to use it.

In your Profile settings you can toggle between A4, Letter & 4x6 Photo Paper sizes. Magtool will automatically adjust to use default templates for the right paper size. If you're using a custom template that you've uploaded and created then you don't need to worry about this, it only affects default Magtool templates.

In your Profile settings you can toggle which magnet sizes and styles appear on your dashboard for use.

For your Market guests you can toggle which magnet sizes and styles appear on your stall/storefront page via the Market tab.

So many presses, brands and sizes out there - each needing different templates! We're always adding more to the system, but our standard templates might not work for everyone.

If you already have a template that works perfectly for your setup, you can upload it for use by clicking the 'Custom Size' product card in your dashboard, which opens the Template Builder.

You can also edit an existing template to refine the measurements, cut lines, edge text and more, simply by clicking the little pencil icon in the corner and choosing the edit option.

Shoddy internet - arrggghh! We know the feeling. Everything will upload eventually, it might just take a few extra seconds. First, try clearing your photo tray. That usually fixes most issues. If it feels truly stuck, try toggling Airplane Mode or refreshing your connection. Logging out and back in can also help. The classic "turn it off and on again" fix.

This could be caused by a a momentary internet drop. Clear your tray and try again - don't worry, adding photos to your tray doesn't cost credits, it's just the final template PDF generation that does.

The default setting might not be perfect for everyone, which is why we give you the ability to adjust your puzzle seam amounts in your profile settings.

Click 'Profile' in the top user bar then scroll down to 'Advanced Settings'. Take a look in there, and you'll see that you can adjust your puzzle seam overlap (also cropper visual wrap bleed). Play around with a few settings so you can get a feel for what the adjustments do, then adjust as needed until your puzzle pieces line up perfectly!.
